Early 0500 departure from Dayton, Ohio to Dallas-Ft Worth. All early excitement mixed with lack of sleep between Ya-Ya and I. Thanks to my Broder, Randy, (who woke up at 0200 to take us to the airport), we had just enough time to check-in, go through security and early boarding. I will note that finding a nice little medical cooler to keep my meds cool for the next 2 days has been a game changer for international travel. Everything went swimmingly on our first leg, however, as we were making our way to our next gate at DFW, I realized I left my passport behind, on my seat from the flight from DAY-DFW. I never thought I could move as quickly as I did between terminals to get back to that arrival gate. I was blessed to see the same flight attendant that I met from Dayton standing at the gate. She was able to get security to open the doors and the pilot for the next flight was able to walk down the ramp with a big smile and my passport shining like a beacon. This is why from now on I will - Never Ever Leave Passport Behind!
After that way too early excitement this morning - I introduced Ya-Ya to the Flagship Lounge for America Airlines. We have a 3.5 hour layover that will take us onto our 2nd leg from DFW to Tokyo. I've, never been too Japan but I fully anticipate enjoying everything I come across. Meanwhile, the breakfast buffet has an assortment of western style breakfast favorites along with pseudo style sushi. Ya-Ya, not a big fan of the breakfast options except the coffee. I was partial to the potato hash with fried Brussel sprouts.
Once in Tokyo, I hope to continue capturing anything eventful and post. Otherwise, we will continue to make our way from Tokyo to Bangkok! Again, thanks to the AA crew this morning for salvaging my trip!
Leaving the passport on the plane could have been an expensive trip killer. So glad you were able to retrieve in time. Something to consider: Travel Neck Wallet Travel Pouch & Passport Holder
